Hello! It's been awhile since I've written my last entry. I hope you all have had a nice holiday season and have a Happy New Year!
I love smoothies; most of them are healthy and taste so good. Usually when I make them, I just add some of this fruit and some of that fruit and add a dash or two of cinnamon-and of course, the milk (and sometimes yogurt or ice cream) or juice.
Today I have a recipe for you for an Orange Banana Strawberry Smoothie that I hope you'll enjoy:
Orange Banana Strawberry Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1 cup orange Juice
- 1 medium Banana
- 10-15 Strawberries (de-leafed and de-stemmed)
- couple dashes Cinnamon
- (optional) couple dashes Cardomom or Ginger or Nutmeg
Directions
Step 1: Pour the orange juice into a blender. Cut up the banana and put it into the banana. Cut the strawberries in half and add them to the blender. Add the cinnamon and cardomom*.
Step 2: Blend the ingredients for a minute or two, until smooth and pour into a glass or two. Enjoy! (Makes 1-2 servings)
If you try this smoothie, let me know what you think.
*If you don't have cardomom don't worry about it. You could try ginger or nutmeg instead (I haven't tried either of them in this) or just do the cinnamon. I just felt like adding cardomom just to try it.
